CityUHK users now have an additional off-campus access option for Elsevier products.

To access platforms such as ScienceDirect, Scopus, and SciVal from outside the campus, users should select "Sign in via your organization." Then, search for "City University of Hong Kong" and authenticate using your CityUHK credentials.

  1. Go to SciVal (https://www.scival.com).
  2. Click on Sign in.
  3. Select Sign in via your organization.
  4. In the Find your organization search box, type City University of Hong Kong.
  5. Select City University of Hong Kong from the search results.
  6. You will be redirected to the CityUHK login page. Sign in using your:
    • CityUHK EID
    • Password
    • Multi-factor authentication (if prompted)
  7. Click on Sign in or register.
  8. Click on I already have an account and sign in with the same email you have registered for Scopus, ScienceDirect, or SciVal. Then, select the linking option.
  9. After successful authentication, you will be returned to SciVal with access to CityUHK-subscribed content and features.
