Chilin PatentLex (formerly "CEMWEP (Chinese-English Multi-Word Expressions for Patents)") is a unique searchable big database of translated terms ultimately encompassing over 3,000,000 bilingual Chinese-English compound words drawn from over 300,000 comparable Chinese and English patents. It is developed to serve the special needs of translators and patent analysis specialists involved with Chinese and English patents. It can be customized to suit the needs of professional translation, search engine application as well as machine translation and would be especially useful for students and teachers in courses on specialized technical, patent and legal translations.
