Each annual edition contains the citation data from the JCR year indicated and shows the relationship between citing and cited journals. JCR can show:

• Journal Impact Factor (JIF)
• The total number of citations that a journal has generated in an indicated year
• Most cited journals in a field
• Subject category data for benchmarking
